An excellent first draft - completed early. Well done. You have some great camera shots and fragmentation of the killer. The end sequence makes it read like a trailer. There is some pixilation within the first tracking shot. Use more sound FX of wine etc. Some continuity issues with the wine and strawberries. More work on mes costumes etc. Some lighting problems towards the end. I'm really impressed. Better motion of titles, film ident.

Rough Cut 27/02/14

I have finally finished cutting and editing (using movie maker) our rough cut, here is our final product!

Update 28/02/14

Today and yesterday me, Max and Eoghain took time out of the lesson to film for our rough cut that we will be editing and posting for our deadline next Thursday.

Well done on your storyboard. I like the music and the pace works well. I would recommend going back to the exam criteria and checking that you have covered everything like a range of camera shots and framing. You need to also think about the length - it is currently very short and rethinking your titles as it reads a bit like a short film at present.

Evidence for Copyright for the use of the XX song

Mrs Dobbs feedback 25/02/14

I have read your feedback and have gone back to the writing task of the three opening film sequences. I have edited it and written in some codes and conventions throughout and pointed out where the film sequences may have used them.
The animatronics storyboard has already been uploaded, is it working properly?

Well done Ruby. You have made a really good start to the project and have met all your deadlines. Your RMA analysis is slightly descriptive and you would benefit from adding some codes and conventions of openings in your analysis. Get your animatronic storyboard posted ASAP so you can get some feedback.

CHANGES DUE TO AUDIENCE FEEDBACK 12/02/14

Due to our audience feedback, we have decided to change our genre from thriller/action to thriller/horror. This is because we thought that we could portray horror elements more than action and we already had some concepts of a horror fim in our storyboard. For example, the idea of a normal family man in his home and then the other side to his character coming across in the basement.
Another part of feedback was whether we were going to fit everything into the 2 minute limit. So we've talked about what duration of shots we're going to be using and where would be the most appropriate place to film the short duration of shots and where the longer ones need to take place due to priority of ideas.

PREZI FEEDBACK 05/02/14

Female – likes the idea because we don’t know what’s going to happen, very current, there’s an audience market for it, are we going to do something new? Have a clear sense of genre – dipping into horror. Good illusion to lighting – the upstairs and basement idea, shadows, fragmenting.

Male – reminds him of Dexter, good idea. We have a lot of things to do in 2 minutes – prioritise ideas.
